Samirian Chemicals Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Accounting Assistant with a strong understanding of accounting tools and a passion for financial accuracy. This role offers the chance to support key financial functions, perform data analysis, and drive process improvements within a dynamic chemical manufacturing environment. Leverage your knowledge of accounting software to gain valuable hands-on experience in financial reporting, data management, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support NetSuite, including data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and analyses using NetSuite tools.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes within NetSuite.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and complete data cleanup tasks.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and identify improvements in NetSuite.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including consolidation and reporting.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and assist with special projects as needed.
- Stay informed on accounting regulations to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
- Currently studying Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in team settings.
- Eager to learn and develop new skills.
- Familiarity with NetSuite or similar accounting software is a plus.
- Previous internship or relevant work experience is preferred.

This is a remote position.
Compensation: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
With experience in chemical safety and distribution, we are committed to excellence. By having multiple locations we provide a short lead time with our local inventory. We expertise by industry by having an on-site chemical analyst in order to meet your required specifications as well as having a dedicated team to provide quality, reliability, and the highest degree of customer service.
