Basic Welder, Training Cell

Basic Welder 
 

ABOUT YOUR TASKS:

• Work from verbal instructions / blueprints / drawings and/or work orders.


• Setup equipment / prepare surfaces to be welded /weld parts.


• Must be able to use hand tools such as grinders, etc.


• Maintain inventory of parts used in area.


• Must report all accidents/injuries to department supervisor immediately.


• Prompt and regular attendance.
   

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• May perform additional duties as assigned by the department supervisor.


• Keep work area clean, neat and orderly.


• Follow all safety rules, policies and procedures.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Must have prior TIG work experience.


• Must be able to demonstrate good welding ability with minimal training.


• Must have basic math skills.


• Must have good hand/eye coordination.


• Must have TIG experience and pass internal welding test.


• Must complete the Career Readiness Certification 

ABOUT YOU:

• A high school diploma or GED is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

Regularly: Seeing, Hearing, Standing/Walking, Lifting/Pulling/Pushing

Frequently: Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling

Occasionally: Fingering/Grasping/Feeling
