**Remote Opportunity**

The Corporate Accounting Manager will provide accounting support for the staff accountant team, prepare Β financial statements, review and approval of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, daily revenue and cash reconciliations, as well as other related finance projects.

The Corporate Accounting Manager will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:Β 

  • ManageΒ a team of Corporate Staff Accountants and/or third-party accounting services in the performance of assigned functions (includes training, development and performance management of the team);Β 

  • SupportΒ the consistent administration ofΒ the financial objectives across multiple hotel properties by reviewing and monitoring the accounting activities, and working with other departments, properties and vendors to resolve outstandingΒ items;Β 

  • ManageΒ completion of month end close operations, preparing daily, weekly and monthly metrics and other ad -hoc reports asΒ required;Β 

  • PrepareΒ and review monthly financial statements and balance sheet reconciliation with property and corporate accountingΒ teams;Β 

  • Identify,Β  recommendΒ and implementΒ Β process improvement opportunities to streamline accounting data and processes;Β Β 

  • Assist in report evaluation, decisions and results of the department in relation to establishedΒ goals;Β 

  • Assist on key projects and initiatives as assigned byΒ Directors;Β 

  • Work closely with assigned property personnel to ensure adherence to accounting policies andΒ procedures;Β 

  • Maintain and review accounting records and compiling reports from theΒ database;Β Β 

  • Exercise discretion and independence in achieving financial accountingΒ goals;Β Β 

  • Manage direct reports by ensuring Associates understandΒ and adhere toΒ employment practices, recommend employment decisions and corrective action, support performance management, and implementing disciplineΒ in accordance with Atrium’s guidelines and Core Values;Β andΒ 

  • Any and allΒ other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.Β 

What you will need to be considered for this role:

5+ years of progressive accounting experienceΒ 

2+ years of supervisory experienceΒ Β 

Multi-property responsibilityΒ 

Demonstrate a thorough understanding of and experience with accounting principlesΒ to include general ledger, bank, accounts payable and balance sheet reconciliations.Β 

Proven experience in analyzing financial data and preparing financial reports or statements.Β 

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline or equivalent experienceΒ 

Proficient knowledge inΒ ExcelΒ and Microsoft OfficeΒ SuiteΒ
