WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
At Opus we work with some of the worldβs most influential brands to design, create and manage their most important events and experiential campaigns. The Digital Configuration Specialist is responsible for working with event teams to configure style and customize web-based platform implementations. As platform familiarity allows this position will recommend platform features and capabilities to aid in the experience design to maximize the platform impact. The Digital Configuration Specialist will work within event teams to ensure multiple external event technologies come together flawlessly to create a successful and innovative event. In the digital event space, the event happens online, and you are responsible for making sure the doors open and the lights turn on.

YOU SHOULD HAVE
- 1+ yearsβ experience in a services organization delivering technology.
- 3+ yearsβ experience with a broad array of technology disciplines including website development, JavaScript, configuring a CMS design, and CSS application development, technology service and delivery, and data management
- Bachelor's degree from four-year institution is preferred

Intermediate technical skills in:
- HTML / CSS
- Vanilla JavaScript
- Responsive design and industry best practices
- Time management and project management skills
- Comfort and confidence speaking to internal stakeholders
- Ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders (explain technical jargon in simple/easily understood ways)
- Ability to perform quality assurance
- Strong critical thinking organizational creative problem solving and analytical capabilities
- Demonstrated verbal written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work on projects with general direction and minimal guidance both independently and as a member of cross functional teams
- Strong attention to detail with ability to see the project big picture
- Effectively prioritize workload on multiple projects & events simultaneously
- Successfully perform in high stress fast-paced environment
- Maintain high levels of confidentiality
- Work cooperatively with other employees vendors and clients

Itβs important that you have a basic understanding of the below concepts so you can speak intelligently to them in meetings with technical partners and so you can better ask questions and understand technical workflows:
- Understand the platform landscape (Registration digital interactive analytics reporting etc)
- Internet Infrastructure concepts & Domains DNS (CName MX and SPF setup) cloud servers load balancing SEO knowledge/tracking (i.e. UTM vs Tag IDs)
- Frontend conceptsΒ understand HTML/CSS/JS/frameworks limitations UI/UX time to implement
- Site state conceptsΒ cookies session states client vs server data flows
- Integrations webhooks vs APIs how they work authentication restrictions.
- Video streaming protocols (RTMP RTSP WebRTC etc)
- Data structure types of data and how they are represented how data is stored and retrieved (XML JSON)
- Basic understanding of data security infosec and GDPR

TRAVEL AND FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE REQUIRED
This positionΒ is requiredΒ to travel to attend events. Air travel and overnight stays are required. There will occasionally be the need to work outside standard business hours.

HOW WEβLL TAKE CARE OF YOU
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting salary for this role is between $75,000 and $85,000. Our salary ranges are based on third-party national average market compensation analysis. The actual salary is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
