About the Role and Team


The Alutiiq Director of Industrial Security and Facility Security Officer (FSO) reports to the Operations and Compliance Executive and leads a global security operation for a large business portfolio providing contracts support to various government agencies.Β 


Your Impact


As an experienced Industrial Security professional, you will function as an influential leader across the corporation where subsidiary companies perform on contracts with requirements to safeguard critical technologies, sensitive information and cleared facilities at project locations both CONUS and OCONUS. You will have an advanced working knowledge of multiple contracts through a staff of well-trained and knowledgeable Facility Security Officers (FSOs).


Responsibilities


This position is responsible for the supervision and management of all industrial security personnel, who are located in various corporate offices around the country. The Director of Industrial Security will:



  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge and understanding of 32 CFR Part 117 and effectively lead our team of FSOs to implement compliance for varied government agency contracts.

  • Be the vision and strategy for innovative and effective solutioning of complex security challenges to help drive business efficiently.

  • Represent Industrial Security at senior level engagement with internal leaders, external industry peers, and government leaders.

  • Work across the infrastructure and business organization to identify and build relationships to help the company position and execute growth.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of Risk Management and Counterintelligence and help integrate those disciplines into industrial Security operations for proactively identifying and mitigating threats to company operations.

  • Use experience and independent judgement to maintain an effective security program that meets government customer and corporate security requirements for sensitive, and often complex programs.

  • Conduct risk management activities and drive security strategy for process/procedures that mitigate risk to government information and activities.

  • Stay informed about emerging security threats and industry best practices, adapting security strategies accordingly.

  • Provide guidance on the company’s approach to foreign engagement, ensuring proper vetting and due diligence with compliance requirements and disclosing required affairs on the SF 328.

  • Assume the role of Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO) for the corporate led program that includes multiple subsidiaries.

  • Directly responsible for supervising and ensuring proper execution of all aspects of the corporate industrial security program, ensuring staff are qualified, trained, and proficient in their responsibilities.

  • Generate new and review existing policy, processes, SPP on a recurring basis to ensure applicability and efficiency to operations.

  • Provide directions and guidance on reporting obligations to protect Facility Clearances and maintain personnel clearances.

  • Conduct and supervise audits of internal processes for effectiveness and efficiencies, and to ensure they support compliance requirements.

  • Manage/supervise FSO activity for implementing contract and Department of Defense Contract Security Classification Specification (DD254) requirements, and reviewing solicitation feedback to ensure accurate information is provided to ensure successful execution upon contract award.

  • Ensure an effective self-inspection program exists that validates compliance. Review each self-inspection report and approve resolution action for any identified finding. Tests, and/or reviews the activity to ensure proper protection and/or corrective measure will mitigate any potential vulnerability.

  • Assist and prepare FSOs for, and participate in, DCSA Security Compliance Reviews to ensure favorable ratings and no identified vulnerabilities.

  • Implement and maintain an effective Security Education, Training and Awareness Program tailored to company operation and specific subsidiary and compliance requirements.

  • Be appointed as the FSO for the cleared parent and will maintain accounts in the government system of records to support FCL and PCL activity for the corporation SIMS database.

  • Supports the maintenance of Contract Security Classification Specifications (DD Form 254) and have an in-depth knowledge of DD254 practices.


May be required to work beyond normal work hours to complete time sensitive projects



Requirements

About You and What Type of Skills You’ll Need


Required Education


Bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security, Emergency management, Security management. Four additional years’ industrial security experience can be substituted in lieu of bachelor’s degree.


Required Experience


Four years in an Industrial Security managerial position.


Other Required Qualifications or Skills



  • Must be able to work in a high paced environment.

  • Must possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software as well as other security management programs and databases used in the security management field.

  • In depth understanding and experience in executing NISPOM requirements.

  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills, be able to communicate professionally and effectively with senior officials, coworkers, and outside agencies.

  • Must possess and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.

  • Must possess strong time management skills.

  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance.

  • Must be able to work with little or no supervision and achieve the required result.
