As a member of our interdisciplinary team, contributes professional prehospital EMS knowledge and skills to patients and their families.Β Maintains excellent patient service skills, is able to work well under pressure, and make quick decisions about patient health.Β Provides a level of care outlined by the State of Iowa Scope of Practice in accordance to their state EMS certification level and hospital policies and procedures.Β

Current Iowa certification as an EMT. Β Basic Life Support Certification. Β Valid Iowa driverβs license for at least three years with an acceptable or clear rating according to the Motor Vehicle Record chart. (see below). Β Β·Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Must have a minimum of two years driving experience with no record of DUI, DWI, or similar alcohol or drug related offenses over the past five years. Β Β·Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β No record of reckless driving, careless driving, speeding over 15 miles above the speed limit, fleeing or eluding a police officer, chemical test refusal, leaving the scene of an accident, driving after revocation or suspension, or passing a stopped school bus in the last five years. Current NREMT certification. Β |

Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English. Basic computer knowledge using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and web browser. |
