The Finance System & Reporting Team provides support to Mercy Corps’ HQ and field operations in the areas of finance systems, integrations, and processes, reporting, and knowledge management. Our mission is to increase the level of knowledge and the availability of tools and resources to promote the highest possible standard of financial accountability, transparency, efficiency, and donor compliance. The team is responsible for leading and coordinating the implementation of Mercy Corps global financial accounting and reporting solutions and for supporting integration with a growing suite of applications.
This role will support the implementation of finance systems to improve business processes. The role will support the team in meeting its priorities to automate and improve existing processes and to continuously improve MC’s capacity to allocate donor resources. The Project Manager will liaise with multiple stakeholders with a broad range of technical knowledge and a variety of requirements, thus the ability to communicate effectively to a diverse audience will be essential.
Essential Responsibilities
Lead finance systems implementations and improvements such as forecasting/budgeting tools, reporting tools, integrations support, and system upgrades ensuring adherence to timeline and budget.

Accountability to Participants and Stakeholders

Minimum Qualification & Transferable Skills
3 to 5 years progressive experience with use, design, implementation, and support of financial accounting and planning systems in a medium to large organization
This role will require exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills in setting up and implementing Mercy Corps financial systems and policies and procedures. Organizational skills and ability to prioritize will be critical.
The successful candidate will have an ability to interact effectively across international and corporate program and finance teams successfully, in multiple capacities including requirements gathering, training, and troubleshooting. They will have a demonstrated ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and process information. They will possess an orientation towards establishment and maintenance of internal financial ccontrols. The most successful Mercy Corps staff members have a strong commitment to teamwork and accountability, thrive in evolving and changing environments and make effective written and verbal communication a priority in all situations.
Living Conditions / Environmental Conditions
The Project Manager is a fully remote position based in the current Mercy Corps US/Europe location. Base location requires connectivity to enable remote work from home.
Mercy Corps team members represent the agency both during and outside work hours when deployed in a field posting or on a visit/TDY to a field posting. Team members are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner and respect local laws, customs and MC's policies, procedures, and values at all times and in all in-country venues.
