YRCI is seeking a full-time Human Resources (HR) Assistant to support our Human Resources Remote Operations Center (HRROCβ’), located in Reston, VA. YRCI's HRROCβ’ is a Shared Service Center that supports multiple Federal agencies and offers a friendly, collaborative team environment with access to training from industry experts!
The Role (Fully Remote)
- Although the YRCI home office is located in Reston, VA, this position is fully remote.
- Assist the HR Specialists with a variety of staffing and onboarding activities to include:
- Analyze Position Descriptions (PD) to develop job analyses and recruitment packages.
- Train on agency staffing systems.
- Post job opportunity announcements.
- Review applications for qualification determinations.
- Adjudicate Veterans' Preference.
- Extend offers of employment to selected candidates within the guidelines of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) compensation policy.
- Draft Tentative and Final offer letters to selected candidates.
- Request employment records via electronic Official Personnel Folder (eOPF), OPF, and Standard Form (SF)-75 data from losing agencies for transfer employees.
- Respond to Applicant inquiries regarding USAJobs announcements.
- Review, prepare, and code Accession SF-52s per the OPM Guide to Coding and Processing.
- Execute a wide range of HR Information Systems (HRIS), data bases, and retrieval methods to provide data for reporting purposes.
Job Requirements
What You Need to Bring to the Table
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- College degree is preferred.
- Apply and interpret Federal HR laws, policies, and agency-specific operating procedures.
- Attention to detail, data quality, and data integrity.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the government required security check.
