We are amidst a substantial expansion spanning the United States, Canada, and beyond into the global market. To fortify this growth, we are in search of a proficient US HR Leader.Β The US HR Leader will deploy strategies and leadership over learning and development, workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, and compliance. The HR Leader will have key responsibilities in people leadership, employee relations, compensation administration, leadership development, and special projects as required. The incumbent will be required to navigate multi state presence and compliance, complex environments and related HR challenges. This is a full-time, permanent position with travel requirements, as needed.
Essential Job Functions
Leadership
- Be a member of the Activate HR Leadership community to ensure success in engagement and employee relations throughout US stores
- Secure regulatory compliance in HR and Safety

Responsible for overseeing HR needs and hiring process for US Store Operations; supporting Store Leaders in their hiring process
- Lead the development and implementation of HR policies, programs, and initiatives
- Successfully execute compensation strategy through market analysis, job evaluation, and the annual review process

Expertise and knowledgeable about upcoming legislative changes and operational HR trendsΒ
In Store HR OperationsΒ
- Work with stores to mitigate risk with employee relations
- Lead resolution process for informal and formal complaints and employee relation through conciliation as appropriate
- Lead onboarding and offboarding processes and engagement
- Maximize HRIS to manage employee self services, personnel transactions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations
- Participate in compensation and benefit surveys and/or conduct wage surveys within the labor market to determine competitive wage rate and remain apprised of current trends
- Support the stores through HR compliance and rollout of safety processes
- Assess and lead HR, policy and safety training requirements for US locations, working within Activate's LMS system
- Maximize state specific opportunities for recruitment efforts
Qualifications, Education, and Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management or related field, with HR designation
- 10 years' experience in Human Resources, with 4+ years at a leadership levelΒ
- Proven knowledge and experience working with multi-state US Employment and Health/Safety State Laws is required; knowledge of international legislation would be considered an asset

While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to sit, stand, walk, reach with your hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and communicate with others for long periods of time
- Occasional travel (up to 20%) will be required on an ad-hoc basis
