Lifeway's FP&A Inventory Management teamΒ is seeking an Inventory Analyst.Β  This is not a traditional cycle counting and bin replenishment position. In this position, you'll provide inventory analysis and insight using large data sets and heavy excel usage, leading to recommendations for actionable business decisions.

Responsibilities






A Inventory Analyst will:Β 

  • Advise business leaders based on data and reporting leading to recommendations for actionable business decisions. Communicates financial and inventory results to business leaders regularly.β€―Β 
  • Monitor inventory levels and recommend reprints and other inventory decisions.. Β 
  • Assist the Financial Analysts in the development of initial print quantities for Lifeway and/or B&H imprint product lines.Β 
  • Lead analysis in managing weekly inventory meetings, striving for balance with adequate stock levels and reduced obsolescence costs.Β 
  • Maintain Oracle inventory data including out-of-print, going out-of-print, print-on-demand, etc. as well as leading in the resolution of inventory discrepancies. Β 
  • Develop, track, and report inventory metrics that ensure inventory levels are best in industry in turn and stock out metrics. Β 
  • Develop and maintain quarterly process to remove unnecessary inventory and keeping warehouses to acceptable levels of inventory.Β 
  • Become the subject matter expert in the business areas you support and develop an understanding of Lifeway's overall inventory levels and finances.β€―Β 
  • Make additional contributions to the FP&A team by helping with budget files, technological expertise, and other special projects as necessary.β€―Β 








Qualifications






  • Live out Lifeway’s mission and values, showing deep commitment to Kingdom work.Β 
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Supply Chain Β 
  • MBA or CPA preferred
  • APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) a plus
  • 3 plus years experience financial support and leadership in areas of budgeting, operational analysis, planning, and inventory managementΒ 
  • 3 plus years experience working with large data sets and the ability to extract, summarize, and report results efficientlyΒ 
  • Detailed oriented and able to work through large amounts of dataΒ 
  • Objective mindset that is data driven, focused on factsΒ 
  • Advanced use of Microsoft tools, expert level in Excel (i.e. pivot tables, XLookup, query tools, etc.)Β 
  • Strong data mining skill set using modern Business Intelligence tools (i.e., PowerBI, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, etc.)Β 
  • Healthy financial acumen including proforma development, GAAP standards, accounting principles, financial metrics, etc.Β 
  • Effective communication style and able to adapt to the audience, easy to understand and provide necessary insight.Β 
  • Capable of being operational and strategic at the same time, keeping the macro view in mind while mining detailsΒ 
  • Demonstrated ability to protect and utilize sensitive information responsiblyΒ 
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and time management skills. Ability to dig through complexity, finding the truth the data presentsΒ 
  • Actively attend an evangelical Christian church and serve/participate in church events or ministriesΒ
