JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Infrastructure System Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring the stability and performance of servers, networks, and other critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

System Maintenance and Support:

• Monitor and maintain server performance and availability.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including updates and patches.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.

​Network Administration:

• Assist in the configuration and management of network devices (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Monitor network performance and security.
• Support VPN and remote access solutions.

User Support:

• Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Assist with the setup and deployment of workstations and peripherals.

Backup and Recovery:

• Perform regular data backups and ensure data integrity.
• Assist in disaster recovery planning and testing.

Security Management:

• Implement and maintain security policies and procedures.
• Monitor security alerts and respond to potential threats.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Generate reports on system performance and security incidents.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 2-3 years of experience in system administration.
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux server environments.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Knowledge of backup and recovery tools and best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications:
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or equivalent.
• Additional Skills:
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash).

Compensation Range:

$71,600.00 - $136,500.00

Compensation Frequency:

Annual

Base pay offered may vary depending on actual location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Supplemental pay types may include commissions or bonus incentives, depending on the role.
