Opportunity  
 
We want YOU! Our Student Ambassador will engage and educate veterinary students at Kansas State University. This student serves as the first line of communication between our company and the veterinary students and faculty at your school. This role involves hosting educational & networking events, emailing the student body, and communicating with our University Relations Team.   
 
Our goal is to highlight how Thrive Pet Healthcare supports veterinarians to practice their best medicine in a positive environment, while focusing on a balanced life.  
 
  
 
Student Ambassador Criteria and Responsibilities  
 
  
 
Student Ambassador Selection Criteria:   
 
  • Be a rising 2nd or 3rd year.  
  • Interested in Small Animal GP or UC   
  • Must portray confidence and enthusiasm for the role and company.   
  • Have a 3.0 GPA or better.  
  • Have kind and engaging personality.  
  • Agrees to not be a rep/SA for a direct competitor.  
  • Commit to attend our on-campus events  
  • Accessible and willing to communicate by both email and cell with URP and other SAs.  
  • Highly recommend an externship with THRIVE   
 
 
  
 
Communication:  
 
  • With students and faculty: send emails to student body and faculty with invitations to lunch or dinner meetings, updates on wellness and networking events, externships, internships, and job openings.  
  • With the URP: Monthly check ins and end of semester team meetings  
 
  
 
Events:  
 
  • Coordinate meetings and networking events with the other SA and your URP.   
  • 2x a year campus visits - Ex: lunch and learns, Career Fairs, Breakfasts, happy hours, and dinners.  
 
  
 
Other Student responsibilities:   
 
  • Learn about the Thrive company and everything they have to offer students!   
  • Contribute to the growth of Thrive's Social Media audience by encouraging /following Thrive's social media accounts to veterinary students  
  • Provide class list of student emails +/- cell number.  
  • Create Thrive awareness   
  • Provide suggestions and regular feedback on student engagement, industry updates, best practices, competitor offerings.  
  • Wear Thrive swag to events  
  • Circulate Thrive directed communication about our newest programs and opportunities.  
  • Answer any questions your peers have about Thrive Pet Healthcare (with support from your University Relations Partner)  
  • Post upcoming events to at least one social media platform (linkedin, Facebook, Instagram)  
  • Recruit 1-4VM Externs, 4th year interviewees, and potential Interns.  
 
 
  
 
  • Compensation and time commitment:  
 
  • Compensation: Thrive Swag, one time stipend: $1250 and access to our external referral bonus   
  • Commitment Timeframe: June 2024 through June 2025  
  • MANDATORY Orientation: July 13th and 14th
