Position Overview: As the Lead AI/ML Data Scientist, you'll be responsible for leading our AI and ML data science efforts and driving the development and deployment of advanced AI and ML models. You'll lead a team of talented data scientists and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end AI/ML solutions. Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of AI/ML data scientists, providing guidance, direction, and support in driving AI/ML innovation and execution.
  2. Project Planning and Execution: Lead the planning and execution of AI/ML projects, defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  3. Model Development: Lead the development and implementation of advanced AI and ML models to solve complex business problems, leveraging techniques such as supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and deep learning.
  4. Feature Engineering: Lead the feature engineering process, identifying relevant features and engineering them from raw data to enhance model performance and predictive accuracy.
  5. Model Evaluation and Validation: Lead the evaluation and validation of model performance, defining appropriate metrics and validation techniques to ensure robustness, reliability, and generalization.
  6. Hyperparameter Tuning: Lead the optimization of model hyperparameters and configurations, leveraging techniques such as grid search, random search, and Bayesian optimization to maximize performance.
  7. Model Deployment: Lead the deployment of AI and ML models into production environments, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and platforms to enable real-time inference and decision-making.
  8. Monitoring and Maintenance: Lead the monitoring and maintenance of deployed models, implementing monitoring and alerting systems to detect and mitigate issues proactively.
  9. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to deliver end-to-end AI/ML solutions that meet customer requirements.
  10. Research and Innovation: Stay informed about the latest advancements in AI and ML research and technology, exploring innovative approaches and techniques to enhance model performance and capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field. PhD is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on AI and ML techniques and applications.
  • Leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of data scientists.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with data science libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and pandas.
  • Strong understanding of AI and ML concepts and algorithms, including supervised learning, unsupervised learning, deep learning, and reinforcement learning.
  • Experience with feature engineering, model evaluation, and hyperparameter tuning techniques.
  • Familiarity with machine learning deployment and productionization, including model deployment frameworks and containerization technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
