As a Linux Systems Engineer, you will design, implement, maintain, and support complex Linux (RHEL) and OpenShift systems infrastructure components. You will assist with developing and supporting existing and new Linux and open source-based technologies and help coordinate the design and architecture of new solutions in physical and cloud-based environments.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Maintaining our existing environment of over 1100 physical, and virtual (on-prem and cloud) Linux servers
Provide direction to our customers on best practices and standard processes
Develop, enhance, and maintain automation for efficient and standardized support of the environment
Build strong relationships with our customers and partners
Build and cultivate a culture of innovation, standardization, process adherence, and learning within the team
Participate in our 24x7 on-call rotation (one week every five weeks)

3+ years of system engineering experience on Red Hat or CentOS Linux
2+ years of Linux shell scripting experience
2+ years of Python programming experience
2+ years of experience automating and orchestrating common Linux administrative tasks
Experience with security compliance, remediation, and reporting
Experience with security monitoring tools and patch automation strategies and techniques
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented, ability to multi-task
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong desire to learn new technologies
Strong sense of ownership for problem life-cycle and resolution
Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
Experience with Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift
Experience with Rundeck
Experience with Ansible or AWX automation tools
Experience with Artifactory
Experience with Red Hat Satellite system management
Experience with ServiceNow
Experience with VMware or KVM virtualization technologies
Experience with Nexpose or Qualys vulnerability management
