Job Summary:


The Ad Council’s Media Team is looking for a Manager, Emerging Media & Technology (EMT), reporting to the VP, Emerging Media & Technology, who will play a key role in supporting the team’s emerging media & technology center of excellence. The Ad Council’s EMT team is focused on growing the Ad Council’s reach, brand relevance, and credibility in emerging spaces by experimenting with verticals including but not limited to Artificial Intelligence (AI), Immersive 3D Experiences, Blockchain/Web3, Robotics and other nascent media and technologies. The Manager, EMT will activate pre-vetted EMT projects to ensure Ad Council campaigns are driving the most impact in new and disruptive verticals. To help in these efforts, you will leverage the Ad Council’s external Emerging Media & Technology Committee, a collective of industry thought leaders across the industry who are pioneering innovation at their respective companies and help the Ad Council navigate these new frontiers.Β  This fast-paced position is perfect for a skilled project manager who is comfortable managing multiple projects at once, and has strong organizational instincts, written and oral communication skills.


The compensation for this position is within the range of $75,000 – $80,000 annually (based on experience level). The compensation package also includes an annual incentive, comprehensive benefit offerings, and generous paid time off.


What You’ll Do:



  • With direction and oversight from the VP, EMT, foster and cultivate deep, long-term relationships with emerging media and technology partners.

  • Plan and launch pre-vetted test & learn partnerships across viable verticals in the EMT ecosystem.

  • Provide post-activation reports to demonstrate the success of projects, which could include a public facing case study to be hosted in the EMT section of Ad Council’s partnership toolkit.

  • Provide research and landscape reviews to educate the EMT group about viable verticals or specific platform product offerings where partnerships can be implemented.

  • Assist with the management of the Ad Council’s Emerging Media & Technology Committee and its activities.

  • Participate in internal Ad Council taskforces and thought leadership focused on EMT topics and verticals.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure visibility, transferability, and measurability of EMT activations.

    • Insights & Analytics for measurement to ensure all partnership data is inputted and tracked

    • Media Strategy & Engagement for partner handoff when scalable.

    • Manage operational duties for the team, consisting of but not limited to: managing calendars and scheduling meetings, setting meeting agendas, active listening and contributing, note-taking and email follow-up to partners, and participating in team brainstorm/ideation sessions



  • Develop materials and presentations for key partner meetings or internal purposes

  • Collaborate with campaign teams to deliver digital creative assets; this could include requesting asset resizes and getting approvals from sponsors and media partners

  • Occasionally attend EMT industry conferences and submit applications for industry awards


What you bring:



  • 3+ years of digital marketing experience at media or creative agencies

  • Familiarity of the media landscape and some experience in emerging media platforms and technologies such as immersive 3D spaces, Generative AI, Web3, Blockchain, spatial computing, robotics, etc.

  • Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with colleagues within and outside AC’s Media department.

  • Skilled at project management; organized and detail-oriented with a capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously while thriving in a team-oriented, deadline-driven environment.

  • Proactive and adept at taking ownership of projects with manager’s oversight.

  • Ability to multitask and successfully deliver simultaneous projects on-time and within budget.

  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and a positive attitude.

  • A genuine interest and passion for social causes, volunteering and/or philanthropy
