Patch Management Lead - Linux (REMOTE)

Dragonfli is seeking resources to coordinate operational activities associated with patch management for LINUX and Windows based real time devices for a large commercial client engagement. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating and documenting monthly patch discovery, patch evaluations, and quarterly patch deployment activities.

Years of Experience:Β 1-3+

Location:Β Remote; however, will require quarterly travel to midwest or northeast region of the United States.

Linux Systems: 1-2 years

Project Management: 1-2 years

Technical Documentation: 1-2 years

Patch Management: 1-2 years

Technical Skills:

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
  • Extensive experience working in LINUX and Windows operating systems and platforms
  • Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery
  • Knowledge/Experience with Tripwire is a plus
  • Knowledge/Experience with Jira is a plus
  • Knowledge/Experience with HPE OneView is a plus
  • Knowledge/Experience with VMware is a plus
  • Ability to create patch test plans and production deployment plans
  • Experience with patch management solutions such as Ivanti, WSUS, Shavlik, Ansible, RedHat Satellite, Spacewalk preferred
  • Project management experience required as role requires tracking of timelines and ongoing communication with clientΒ 
  • Experience working in Excel, specifically using Pivot Tables
  • Experience working in an environment that requires artifact and evidence of compliance documenting

Soft Skills:

  • Team player with excellent consultative and communication skills, and the proven ability to work effectively with management and staff, vendors and consultants
  • Ability to work independently to meet goals and objectives with minimal supervision
  • Strong troubleshooting and time management skills
  • Attention to detail with the ability to work well under pressure, responding to critical requests calmly and efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills to partner with other IT and non-IT teams
