Project Manager (Cold Form Structural Engineering)- Full-Time

Job Description
Experience you will need:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of ten years of professional experience in structural design of cold-formed steel building structures.
- Extensive knowledge of cold-formed steel design and light steel framing.
- Strong working knowledge of AISI standards for cold-formed steel framing projects.
- Professional Engineer Licensure required, Illinois Structural Engineer Licensure preferred.
- Working knowledge of various structural analysis and design programs including CFS Designer & RISA.
- Leadership skills and good engineering judgement.
What you will be doing:
- Organize and manage structural design efforts for multiple simultaneous projects while maintaining project budgets.
- Manage and review structural engineering drawings for assigned projects/work assignments, including the preparation of plans, schedules, and details.
- Review structural systems of primarily cold-formed steel framing for a variety of building types nationwide.
- Manage CAD and BIM Technicians to produce shop drawings and BIM models.
- Manage engineers on your team on larger projects.
- Assist with training and mentoring team members.
- Communicate with clients and maintain project schedules and design budgets.
- Help lead business development efforts for cold-formed projects, including identifying new opportunities and writing proposals.
- Perform and lead the structural design of various building design projects.
- Perform construction administration duties.
