Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
•The role will have responsibility to manage deployments utilizing existing Synapse operational teams and Enterprise Workplace Technology (EWT) engineering teams for managed Cloud solutions.
•Experience working in a multi-skilled engineering environment coordinating Change Requests and Service Requests.
•Experience of managing IT projects with personal accountability for delivering to time and cost for large, complex projects typically more than $1m in value and 6 months in duration
•Mastery of project management methodology, tools and templates (includes program/project planning, schedule development, scope management and cost management)
•Track record of customer focus, based on openness, trust, and delivering on promises
•Extensive experience of delivery that includes the use of supplier and off-shore resources
•Ability to work highly matrixed, multi-functional IT organization
•Experience of working with 3rd party vendors to implement cloud technologies
•Experience in managing to contract; ensuring clients and suppliers alike perform in accordance with original agreement
•Experience across packaged and infrastructure, ideally on an international basis
•Management skills to manage one or more large, complex projects simultaneously
•IT background with experience across the systems development life cycle with experience in all project phases – plan, initiate, elaborate, design, build, test, implement.
•Mastery knowledge and use of industry-standard project methods, tools and techniques e.g.RAIDS, budget, communication
•Working knowledge of market-leading data analytics tools such as - Spotfire, Tableau, PowerBI, SAP HANA is desired but not required
•Experience of delivering enterprise-scale Data Analytics projects
•Strong team working skills across matrixed client, supplier and geographically dispersed virtual teams
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills (includes negotiation)
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills – must be able to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing
•Leader in the use of IT methodologies, processes and standards for project management
Supervision Responsibilities:
•Direct supervision provided by an experienced Program Leader or Service Delivery Manager/Team Leader; frequency on a weekly or as needed basis
•Project manager is expected to act independently to deliver projects to schedule, budget and scope; support provided as required and requested, and is self-driven and motivated
•Project manager leads project teams consisting of cross functional, global, and virtual groups; directly supervises staff; assigns responsibility to members; monitors progress
•Project manager coaches, mentors and supports less experienced project managers as well as other project resources as needed. Assigns responsibility to members; monitors progress and reports project health on a regular basis

Education:
•A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience
Experience:
•10+ years in a corporate IT environment
•5+ years experience in project management
•Other relevant experience in a related technical field (application development, deployment/implementation and infrastructure)
•Work experience in a professional services industry, preferred
Certification Requirements Preferred:
•Project management certification is preferred (PMI/CAPM or PMP, PRINCE2)
•Familiarity with ITIL v3 or 4 would be advantageous
