Python Developer

Assessment Systems Corporation (ASC) is seeking an experienced Python developer to work on a platform that manages data from educational assessments and then generates reports for students and schools.  The platform is hosted on AWS, and we need someone that can work closely with our leadership to enhance the technology and better meet the needs of our clients.

Responsibilities

The role requires expert working knowledge of Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS and AWS architecture using S3, EC2, RDS, and Lambda. The goal of the project is to take current Python code that generates user specific PDF reports and transition these into the AWS environment. The reports have previously been created using HTML/CSS in the Flask environment and will require modifications on transition to the cloud platform.

Requirements

This position requires strong technical skills and close communication.  We are a fully virtual company, so you can be located anywhere, but you must be able to communicate effectively with our team members in the USA, preferably in their time zone.

• Python/Flask (5 years)
• HTML/CSS/Javascript (2 years)
• AWS (2 years)
• Must have a dedicated workspace with high quality computer
• Must be fluent in English
• Must be available to work full time, with at least 50% of it during US Central workday hours

Additional information

$20-25 per hour (we anticipate this position being outside the USA)

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

This job operates in a professional, casual dress, office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and filing cabinets.

The physical demands are typical of office work with a computer.
