Sales Account Executive (USA or Canada)
Role Type: Permanent / Full-time / W2 Salaried Employee
Salary: $100k++ /yr base + commission (50/50 split)
Number of Open Roles: 2 for the USA, 2 for Canada

Location: Work from home / remote from any continental US or Canadian location

About the Sales Account Executive Role
The Sales Account Executive is the principal commercial point of contact between my client's prospects, clients, and partner organizations for their solutions and services. You will be responsible for navigating and uncovering sales opportunities around SAP and SuccessFactors HCM and Payroll systems, as well as the related System Integrators ecosystem, within your assigned territory.
Key responsibilities include:
- Growing and fostering new business relationships with target accounts and prospects
- Engaging closely with SAP Partners and SAP itself
- Driving new software sales (licenses and subscriptions) across new and pre-existing customers
- Fostering partner relationships across North America to identify new business opportunities
- Acting as a thought leader within the customer and partner community in alignment with SAPβs future HCM Solution directions
Reporting Line
You will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer - North America.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Product & Services Solution Expertise:
- Build comprehensive knowledge of my client's offerings and convey this knowledge to customers clearly and concisely.
- Prospecting & Needs Analysis:
- Maintain a database of potential clients, identify client needs, and propose viable solutions.
- Solution Demonstrations:
- Lead demos and presentations, effectively showcasing product capabilities.
- Building ROI & Business Cases:
- Help customers build ROI and business cases to reach commercial agreements.
- Strategy & Plan for Closing Sales:
- Create strategies to move prospects through to closure and new business relationships.
- Negotiating Profitable Agreements:
- Secure commercially beneficial agreements with customers.
- Uncovering Prospective Clients:
- Close commercial deals to procure my client's solutions and services.
- Collaborating with System Integrators & Partners:
- Work with partners who can drive sales with prospective clients.
- Account Management:
- Manage existing customers within a defined territory, uncover new needs, and upsell solutions.
- Commercial Leadership:
- Represent my client's IT offerings as a commercial leader.
- Handing Over New Clients:
- Transition new clients to the customer care and success teams.
- Ensuring Payment Terms:
- Assist the Accounts Receivable team with payments, maintaining the commercial relationship.
Key Accountabilities
- Achieve Sales Account Executive targets as defined for the financial year.
- Actively target new sales within existing and new customers.
- Engage with customers to identify new HXM solution opportunities and consulting service needs.
- Provide strategic advice on my client's solutions, showcasing how they can create efficiencies and cost savings in SAP HR and Payroll processes.
- Deliver timely software and consulting proposals to clients.
- Drive partner engagement and collaboration with the CEO - North America.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SAP ecosystem solutions like SuccessFactors.
- Ensure all activities are updated in the Sales Management System as agreed with the CEO - North America.
Key Qualifications
- Solid knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors (certified in one or more modules)
- In-depth expertise in SAP HCM Cloud Solutions
- Proven experience selling products and services
- Exposure to training, project work, and pre-sales
- Strong application of sales concepts and techniques
Job Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in any business-related field
- At least 3 years of experience with SAP SuccessFactors and SAP HCM Solutions
- A high degree of creativity and initiative
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive, confident, and determined approach
- Resilience and ability to cope with rejection
- High degree of self-motivation and ambition
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Travel Requirements:
You will work from home, and business travel is required to service the sales territory and engage with key stakeholders (Customers, Partners, Prospects, Colleagues, and Team Members).
