AGCO Corp has an exciting opportunity for a high-impact Sales & Operations Planning Data Scientist Β to join its team. Only 30 minutes outside of Atlanta, Duluth is home to AGCO headquarters. The location allows easy access to the big city lifestyle that Atlanta provides. The headquarters have grown to now include over 500 employees. In this position, you will drive the highest level of service and quality to our internal business partners.Β

The Sales & Operations Planning Data Scientist is responsible for the development and execution of data science and analytics use cases at AGCO focused on predicting demand for ag equipment, enabling scenario planning, and supporting other S&OP sales, inventory, and capacity management use cases. The S&OP Data Scientist has a direct role in ensuring farmers can get the equipment they need to run their operations at the right time by integrating data and decision making into AGCO’s core business processes and providing insight to senior leadership. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient operations of the enterprise by providing reliable short- to long-range forecasts of market needs enabling AGCO to efficiently meet production targets.β€―β€―Β

What you will do:Β

  • Own the development and maintenance of industry and other forecasting models for the organization

  • Determine appropriate analytics technique for addressing S&OP opportunities. Assesses feasibility of analytics use cases in POC studies.

  • Acts as a change agent, engaging with business stakeholders and others in the data science community at AGCO to continue to educate, increase awareness, and build support for world class data and analytics.

  • Stays up to date on leading data science and analytic practices, trends, design, learning and development cycles

  • Travel requirements: <25%

What you will bring:Β 


β€―Β 



  • Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field;

  • 1+ years of experience in a related field with hands-on experience in the development of analytical models and machine learning techniques

  • Advanced analytics tools (Python, R, SAS, SQL etc.) to carry out statistical and machine learning analysis.

  • Use big data computing frameworks for processing of large data volumes (AWS Glue, EMR and Sagemaker, other).Β  Familiar with cloud technologies for model development and deployment

A plus if you have:Β Β 



  • Master’s degree is preferred in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field

  • Supply Chain experience
