Summary
The Senior Accounting Analyst is primarily responsible for the monthly accounting of operating and finance leases as lessee, preparation of related monthly, quarterly and annual reports and preparation of monthly and semi-annual lease payments to outside banks and lessors.

Essential Functions

  • Gather relevant data on real estate leases and prepare classification tests as lessee.
  • Set up right of use asset and lease liability schedules in the CoStar accounting software for operating and finance leases as lessee.
  • Prepare monthly lease payment requests & provide backup to lessors.
  • For existing operating and finance leases as lessee, post monthly entries to book rent expense, interest & depreciation expenses out of CoStar, prepare monthly roll forward reports, quarterly maturity schedules and monthly account reconciliations.
  • Backup Accounting Business Partner on selected tasks.
  • Ensure assigned controls are operating effectively
  • Provide support to other departments such as Treasury, Corporate Accounting, Corporate Tax, Real Estate and internal and external auditors
  • Report and analyze operating results and segment balance sheets.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess strong computer skills; advanced Excel required including nested formulas, xlookup, vlookup, pivot tables as well as data management and analysis


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Business or Accounting with Master’s degree preferred
  • Three years or more experience in the Accounting field required with prior Public Accounting experience preferred

Compensation Information:

The compensationΒ offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc.

Compensation ranges for the position are below:

Pay Type:

Salaried

Minimum Pay Range:

75,000.00

Maximum Pay Range:

85,000.00

The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.
