Baptist Health is looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team. This is a remote position that requires residency in KY or IN
Working under minimal supervision, the Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will play a critical role in the Baptist Health Information Security team. Β This position will serve as a principal engineering and reporting expert for the organizationβs vulnerability management solution. Β This position will include a significant amount of collaboration with IT teams to provide security oversight, guidance, and the creation of security baseline standards. Β The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will also play a key role in high level security operations functions such as the creation and execution of cyber incident and emergency response processes and vulnerability management resolution. Β A person in this position is expected to have an expert level of knowledge of key cyber security domains as well as a moderate understanding of regulatory compliance requirements related to the healthcare environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelorβs degree in computer science, Information Security, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related area of study preferred but not required.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in vulnerability management or a related role.
Strong knowledge of vulnerability management tools and technologies (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7).
Experience with risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
Familiarity with healthcare industry regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus.
Experience with cloud security and vulnerability management in cloud environments.
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
Understanding of network security principles and practices.
Strong reporting and data analysis skills.
