We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead key utility projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring that all aspects of the project are planned and executed to meet goals within the established time frames and budgets while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. This role will also be responsible for project profitability, including contract terms, budget management, change orders, scope management, and resource allocation. Additionally, the Senior Project Manager will ensure that consultants maintain the expected level of billable utilization and will drive continuous improvement in our project management practices.

Project Management Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate project teams to accomplish work effectively and on schedule.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans and schedules, monitoring progress and proactively addressing potential issues.
  • Provide executive-level status reports to customers and leadership.
  • Manage project budgets, scope, change orders, and profitability to ensure project success.
  • Work closely with customers to ensure successful completion of implementations, consistently managing client expectations.
  • Provide timely input for resource allocation and revenue forecasting, and participate in monthly revenue target reviews.
  • Ensure that technical and application consulting team members are appropriately tasked to meet project goals.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews, capture lessons learned, and drive continuous process improvements.

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as a trusted consultant to clients, ensuring that project goals align with business needs.
  • Respond promptly to client needs, managing challenging customer situations with tact and professionalism.
  • Solicit customer feedback and adjust approaches to improve service and maintain strong client relationships.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Set clear goals and objectives for project team members, supporting them in their professional development.
  • Participate in performance reviews and support team members’ growth.
  • Prioritize and plan work activities to meet both project deadlines and business objectives.

  • Experience with SaaS product delivery
  • 10+ years Β Β of project management experience
  • Agile software development lifecycle (SDLC)

  • Experience with Oracle Utilities Suite
  • Experience in the Utilities sector

Experience Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in Business Analysis (BA) and Project Management (PM), with at least 5 years in senior PM roles.
  • Experience managing SaaS product implementations and complex client relationships.
  • Experience in the consulting industry, with a focus on project profitability, change orders, and scope management.
  • Familiarity with Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and leading project teams.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Advanced degrees are preferred.

Certification Requirements

  • PMP Certification is strongly preferred.
  • SAFe Training and certification are strongly preferred.
  • PMI-ACP Certification is preferred.
  • Scrum Master certification is also a plus.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, with potential for up to 50% travel based on project needs.
