Senior ServiceNow Engineer

Peraton is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This individual is responsible for the development, configuration, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform. This role involves collaborating with various teams to implement workflows, develop custom applications, and integrate third-party systems to enhance the organization's IT service management capabilities. The ideal candidate will support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/ Transportation Security Administration (TSA) customer. 

 

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and develop solutions within the ServiceNow platform, including the implementation of workflows, business rules, UI policies, ACLs, and custom development as needed.
• Provide technical support for ServiceNow implementations, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
• Collaborate with IT support teams to troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to the ServiceNow platform.
• Implement new modules and features, ensuring they meet business requirements and integrate smoothly into the existing platform.
• Perform daily administrative tasks such as user provisioning, group management, and access control within ServiceNow.
• Ensure the platform is performing optimally by monitoring system health, availability, and overall performance.
• Manage and resolve platform issues, defects, and bugs in a timely manner.
• Lead the upgrade process for the ServiceNow platform, ensuring minimal disruption to users and processes.

Basic Qualifications: 

• U.S. Citizenship required; Must have the ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree and 12 years’ experience or Master’s  degree and 10 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 16 years’ experience. 
• Proficiency in ServiceNow development and administration.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and AngularJS.
• Experience with REST/SOAP web services and APIs.
• Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
• Must have one of the following ServiceNow Certifications:
  • At least one of the following modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM).
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer.
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist.
