Responsibilities

  • A Senior Systems Administrator shows emphasis on System Maintenance by maintaining and developing Linux infrastructure and ensures 24x7 system availability.
  • A systems administrator engineer's solutions for system administration needs and manages and coordinates software upgrades.
  • The ideal candidate should be committed to monitoring system performance and capacity planning.
  • A Systems Administrator collaborates with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.
  • A system Administrator removes impediments and helps the team to become self-organizing and empowered to create, innovate, and make decisions for themselves as one team.Β 
  • The ideal candidates provide input on ways to improve the security of the environment.
  • Will use ServiceNow Integration Hub to schedule and automate file transfers between endpoints in software applications.
  • Work with System Architect to deploy ServiceNow Integration Hub, Flow Designer and SFTP Spokes technologies in Non-Production and Production Environments.
  • Mentor other System Administrators on the configuration of ServiceNow Integration Hub, Flow Designer and SFTP Spokes technologies.
  • Determines the technical specification of a project, creating technical blueprint and editing codes.
  • Evaluating, Identifying, and developing software solutions.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience working as a Senior Systems Administrator for software development teams.
  • Has extensive experience in taking program requirements and is able to create an architecture vision having experience in high volume and high availability networks and systems.
  • Experience in create and conveying to team members the architectural vision for a program or project.
  • Has extensive software development experience and thorough knowledge of a variety of programming languages and logic.
  • Middleware experience - Highest priority need; Experience and/or working knowledge of ServiceNow Integration Hub, Flow Designer and SFTP Spokes, preferred.
  • Good to have experience: IBM Sterling File Gateway, IMB WebSphere, Splunk.
  • Must have extensive experience with System Administrator responsibilities and product installations.
  • Experience working with ServiceNow Integration Hub, Flow Designer and SFTP Spokes, Nice to have.
  • Experience with ServiceNow administration.
  • Demonstrated ability with ServiceNow incident, change, problem, request CMDB and knowledge management applications.
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex software application related problems.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Experience with JavaScript, XML, HTML, CSS, and web service integrations using REST, SOAP, etc.
  • Experience working SFTP/FTP transfer protocols and file transfers built-in software applications.
  • Linux scripting experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and foster collaboration among team members, stakeholders and leadership.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or other ServiceNow certifications.
  • Sound technical foundation and working knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and applications.
  • Strong management experience to drive team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.
  • Strong collaborator to work with the Scrum Teams, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive the decision making and support organizational project or product teams.

Nice to Have:

  • Proficiency in Agile project management tools such as Jira, Rally, or ServiceNow Agile Development
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification from a recognized Agile certification body
  • Experience with scaled Agile frameworks such as SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or LeSS (Large-Scale Scrum)
  • Scrum methodologies champion responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines
  • Strong communicator to effectively drive messaging, both internally and externally working within the Scrum team
  • Scrum advocate to contribute to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or related technical discipline and 5+ years’ work experience
  • Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education (13 years total)

  • The pay for this position ranges from $59,730 to $70,500
  • The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location
