The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the branding and web design process and its relationship with web strategy, UX, and content design. You will be creating high-impact, user-centered digital experiences at SimpsonScarborough, working closely with our team of UX designers, content designers, brand designers, project managers, and strategists.Β

Requirements:Β 



  • Use Figma to create original, industry-leading websites, making sure the UI design follows the defined strategy, expresses and augments the brand identity, and achieves the visual goals of the project.Β 



  • Take initiative, guiding the client to the best solution–we’re not order-takersΒ 



  • Follow through on the little (but important) things like punctuality, and keeping files tidy and organizedΒ 



  • Proven experience in leading visual work and working directly with large client stakeholder groupsΒ 



  • A portfolio that showcases your proven experience in creating brand identity systems (beyond just logos) and UI designs for large organizations, including UI kits.Β 



  • A passion to collaborate with and learn from a team of UX designers, content designers, project managers, and researchers from the beginning to the end of the product development lifecycle.Β 



  • Initiative, seeing what needs to be done, and making a plan to do it.Β 



  • An active and empathic listen-first mindset.Β 



  • Proven experience in driving conversations with large, national-level clients and their stakeholders. You will be the guide on visual design for your clients; they need to trust that you’re in the driver’s seat.Β

Qualifications:Β 



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceΒ 



  • 3-5 years of UI/UX experienceΒ 



  • Proven UI/UX design expertise with a strong portfolio demonstrating design process, Figma proficiency, and user-centered design.Β 



  • Deep understanding of HCI principles, accessibility standards, and usability best practices.Β 



  • Familiarity with front-end development principles, technical constraints, and design handoff processesΒ 



  • In-depth knowledge of Figma features, components, and collaboration functionalities.Β 



  • Ability to independently manage projects with minimal supervision.Β 



  • Comfortable collaborating with remote project teams nationwide.Β

  • Knowledge of advanced animation techniques using CSS, JavaScript, or other animation libraries.Β 



  • Familiarity with content systems management platforms like Drupal, Wordpress, AEM, and CascadeΒ

  • Salary starts at $90,000.00 and will be commensurate with experience.Β
