Contract Surety Executive Underwriter/ Territory Manager - Remote

Job Description:

1. 75% Business Development/25% Underwriting


2. Work and develop existing agents, appointing agents


3. $5M in single accounts; up to $10M in aggregate accounts


4. Analyzes quality and quantity of risks underwritten and prepares reports accordingly.


5. Accurately evaluates complex risk exposures and ensures review of financial statements, credit reports, bank and other underwriting documents.


6. Underwrites new business, selects acceptable risks to class and price according to guidelines, and rejects business that is unacceptable.


7. Analyzes regional underwriting performance experience, identifies problems on a territory level and proposes action plans to address/rectify those situations.


8. This position has NO DIRECT REPORTS. They are managing a territory.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience of Contract Surety underwriting for bonds


• Proficient in business development, sales, and/or marketing


• Must have carrier experience; not just agency experience
