Located in the heart of New Orleans and serving clients nationally, we’re seeking a Software Engineer with a strong background in Elixir, Python, & Node to help us continue to deliver strategic software solutions. Role & Responsibilities:

  • Architect and develop new software features and systems using Elixir and the Phoenix web framework.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clients, to convert business needs into technical specifications and solutions.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices.

  • Perform robust unit and integration testing, and continuous code reviews to ensure high-quality product releases.

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems for performance and scalability.

  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

  • Mentor junior engineers and promote skill development within the team.

  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in software engineering and apply them to the development process where applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Elixir and the Phoenix web framework.

  • Strong grasp on front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • In-depth knowledge of SQL and experience with PostgreSQL databases.

  • Experience developing applications with React and React Native.

  • Proficiency in Python, showcasing the ability to work across multiple programming languages.

  • Solid understanding of functional programming, OTP (Open Telecom Platform), and concurrency.

  • Extensive practice with RESTful API design and implementation.

  • Proficient use of version control tools, specifically GitHub.

  • Experience with cloud infrastructures such as AWS or GCP, and containerization technologies like Docker.

  • Strong analytical abilities paired with excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Β Nice to Have:

  • Contributions to open source projects.

  • Experience with GraphQL APIs.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and practices.

  • Knowledge of mobile app development for iOS or Android.

  • Understanding of machine learning.

  • Comfort with DevOps practices and infrastructure as code.

  • Prior experience in a Lean Agile development environment.

  • Experience in a fast-paced startup or high-growth technology environment.

Location

We are a remote-enabled company, priority given to candidates based in Louisiana.
