Confluent is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Creative Designer to join our Design team. In this role you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the design process from concept to execution, ensuring all designs meet high standards of creativity, quality, and alignment with brand objectives. This role involves developing strategic, innovative concepts that drive brand and business goals, as well as maintaining and evolving the brand’s visual identity across all platforms. 

What You Will Do:

• End-to-End Design Execution: Lead the design process from ideation to final production,  ensuring all work meets the highest standards of creativity, quality, and effectiveness.
• Creative Strategy and Concept Development: Develop strategic, high-level concepts that align with brand objectives and business goals, driving innovative solutions across all platforms.
• Brand Consistency and Development: Maintain and evolve brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all touchpoints, while also helping shape the brand’s visual identity.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams (Developer Relations, Strategic Events, etc.) to understand project requirements, ensure alignment, and create unified, impactful solutions.
• Trend and Market Research: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor branding strategies, and emerging design techniques to keep the brand visually relevant and innovative.

What You Will Bring:

• Proven Experience: 5+ years of experience in a design role, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design styles, projects, and successful campaigns. 
• Advanced Design Proficiency: Expertise in design software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and other industry-standard tools.
• Problem-Solving: Strong creative problem-solving skills to address design challenges and propose effective, innovative solutions.
• Brand Development and Consistency: Skill in evolving and maintaining a cohesive brand identity across all platforms and ensuring design consistency.
• Project and Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively, delivering high-quality designs on time and within scope.
• Communication and Presentation: Strong communication skills to present design concepts to stakeholders and articulate design choices with clarity and confidence.
• Attention to Detail: High level of precision in design, ensuring accuracy, quality, and consistency in all deliverables.
• Collaborative Spirit: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
• Self-Starter: Highly motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

What Gives You an Edge:

• Experience creating complex, animated Keynote presentations.
• Experience with motion graphics animation.

At Confluent, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry standards. We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location. This position has an annual estimated salary of $83,300- $97,840, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package.
