PRI Talent is hiring an Sr. IT – System Administrator on behalf of our client. This role is a full-time, 1099 contract staff augmentation position working with a company that is a leader in reducing electronic waste and finding value in gently used electronics. As the Information Technology (IT) System Administrator you will deliver comprehensive technical support services to hIT systems that service all employees. This position is a crucial member of the IT Systems team headquartered in San Diego CA. You are a critical member of the IT team and will share responsibility for IT related inventory procurement, system maintenance, and vendor management.


Responsibilities:



  • Provide hardware and software technical support to end users in collaboration with the IT Systems team.

  • Build highly resilient, high-performance, scalable, and flexible systems

  • Exercise a high degree of responsibility for the processes, systems, and tools you create and manage

  • Make recommendations, justify, and implement improvements using an accepted change control methodology

  • Define, document and follow standards and best practices for systems design, testing, and implementation

  • Drive scripting and automation to develop solutions to common problems

  • Identify, analyze/troubleshoot and resolve IT issues

  • Email administration and support

  • Work on IT budgets regarding purchasing, invoicing and receiving of IT equipment.

  • Testing and usability of new end user systems /solutions.

  • Azure Active Directory user management

  • Fileserver permission management (share drives, One Drive, etc..)

  • Windows servers/Exchange management (until all systems are migrated to O365)

  • Liaison with IT department in Louisville facility for troubleshooting and problem solve issues.

  • Perform network and system administration duties such as setting up network and email accounts and troubleshooting activities

  • Vendor management to all security and IT related vendors.

  • Support of all IT systems (JAMF, INTUNE, O365, Wireless Controllers, Network Devices, and supporting IT systems in the Cloud.

  • Facilitate the implementation, testing and continuous improvement of preparedness. contingency, emergency response and recovery plans


Education & Experience



  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, information systems, business or related field preferred.

  • Apple Certified Technical Coordinator/ System Administrator (ACTC or ACSA certification) preferred.

  • 6+ years professional experience as IT support and administration for an office and server systems.

  • Expert knowledge of Mac computers and Microsoft Windows personal computers

  • Python, Bash, PowerShell (or similar) scripting experience preferred

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Servers, Linux servers, Cisco networking and support.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues related to the following system management programs: Exchange, O365, JAMF, INTUNE, Azure AD, Windows Server, Windows IIS, Windows MYSQL Server, Cisco Wireless Networks.

  • Some experience preferred with Linux services such as MySQL, Grafana, NGINX, Apache

  • Some experience with configuration management, provisioning, infrastructure as code, and other DevOps concepts and tools.

  • Some experience with In-Tune, JAMF, and Qualys preferred.

  • Networking experience in IPv4, switching, routing, firewalls and HA architecture.

  • Expertise in creating repeatable, reliable, scalable systems architectures, with high availability, fault tolerance, performance tuning, monitoring, and statistics/metrics collection.

  • Expert working knowledge, including the ability to setup, configure, upgrade, manage, and troubleshoot, Windows-based systems and services (i.e. SCCM, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP).
