A DAY IN THE LIFE:


An experienced member of the Software Engineering team independently performing IT functions such as development, design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of business applications in support of cross-functional enterprise areas.Β  Contributes to the process of gathering requirements, analyzing data, and automating business processes with software solutions. This role works independently to identify improvements, contribute to the overall testing, validation of solutions, training and mentoring junior team members, and may at times lead projects.



  • Independently designs and develops custom solutions using Microsoft Development Tools for existing business systems, applications, APIs, D365 apps and implementations.

  • Independently identifies opportunities in software process, discusses with peers, and implements proposals to address gaps.

  • May manage working interactions with external vendors and resources ensuring that deliverables and timelines are met.

  • Responsible for software design specifications, interface descriptions, and other software documentations; may act as documentation owner for limited scope projects.

  • Works with business analysts or manager to understand business needs/processes and design, develop, test, and implement solutions.

  • Translate business needs to technical specifications.

  • Embraces the Design Control process by Developing and updating technical documentation, leading design reviews, and maintaining design history files.

  • Works with personnel of organizational units involved in identifying problems, learns specific input and output requirements such as forms of data input, how data is to be summarized, and formats for reports.

  • Provides estimates of effort and timelines to management, contributes to software architecture, guides software validation, and leads verification protocols.

  • Develops unit tests and analyzes test coverage per software process documents; reviews and provides feedback to junior engineers.

  • Reviews escalated end user issues; identifies and implements solutions.

  • Participates in and is responsible for programs and system development, configuration and implementation of systems and tools selection.

  • Manages source code effectively using Source Code Management (SCM) tools, processes, and procedures.

  • Research new technologies as needed.

  • Responsible for the training, mentoring and development of junior team members.

  • Independently diagnoses, replicates, and addresses build and deployment issues.

  • Collects process metrics and lessons learned, reviews, and evaluates processes and work products and recommends improvements as appropriate.

  • May act as technical lead for both individual projects and/or entire products.

  • Confirms completion of required training plan before assuming job responsibilities.

  • Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.


YOU’RE AWESOME AT:



  • 5+ years’ experience in the field of Software Engineering or in a related area.

  • S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.

  • Proficient with development in enterprise systems and cloud.

  • Proficient with .NET, MSSQL, JavaScript, Cloud development, Web Development, Web API, Windows Services.

  • Proficient with C#, SQL Server, or similar products.

  • Proficient with Azure development, or similar products.

  • Proficient with Transact-SQL development.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in presenting information in a clear, concise manner to all levels within the department.

  • Proficient in contributing on a consistent basis to team initiatives in a thorough and timely manner.

  • Able to effectively convey information related to work in one-on-one conversation or in a group.

  • Able to react to changing situations in a timely, calm, and confident manner.

  • Skilled at translating high-level requirements into software design and implementation.

  • Able to work effectively in a team environment, oriented towards customer service.

  • Able to alter behavior and opinions in light of new information.

  • Able to assert own ideas and persuade others through effectively consolidating, evaluating, and presenting relevant information.

  • Able to effectively convey information related to work product and lead group discussions.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead work teams.

EXTRA AWESOME:



  • Microsoft D365 CE, Power Automate, Power Apps, Azure Logic Apps experience.

  • Change Management Systems (JIRA) experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) preferred.

  • Exposure to formal software test methodologies preferred.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:


The starting base pay range for this position is $125K - $145K annually. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate’s location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus, equity, and a robust benefits package.
