Job Description:
Dakota is seeking a creative and detail-oriented UX/UI Designer to help us craft visually-appealing,
intuitive, and effective digital products. The UI UX Designer is responsible for developing the design
vision and strategy while driving the execution of our customer facing products. You will implement
UX best practices into the design of the UI to produce a modern, easy to use interface that users
need minimal training or experience to use. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in
design principles, an eye for aesthetics, and a passion for improving user experiences. As a UX/UI
Designer, you will work closely with our designers, product managers, and developers to bring
Dakota's visions to life.
Responsibilities:
β Collaborate with and cross-functional teams (product managers, executives, designers,
developers) to understand project requirements and user needs.
β Partner with Product/Engineering to iterate on proposed designs to create technically
feasible meet user needs, and are feasible UI designs and reusable components
β Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows for new products and features to effectively
communicate design ideas.
β Create and maintain a library of design elements, from the conception to final delivery
β Design and annotate user interfaces for web and mobile applications that are visually
appealing and user-friendly.
β Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and iterate on designs.
β Develop and maintain design systems and style guides.
β Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies.
β Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
β Support execution of the product strategy and roadmap
β Present design concepts and strategy to both internal and external customers
β Serve as an interface between the software development, software product management,
and UI design team by attending Agile meetings such as daily standups, sprint planning, and
sprint retrospective meetings.
Requirements:
β Bachelor's degree in UX/UI Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a
related field.
β Strong portfolio showcasing UX/UI design work, including wireframes, prototypes, and final
designs.
β Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience designing user experiences and interfaces for
B2B web applications
β Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (CC).
β Understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
β Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
β Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
β Ability to understand and represent the needs of the end user
β Ability to process information logically
β Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, client representatives,
product manager, software developers, and subject matter experts
Preferred Requirements:
β Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS
β Experience with Tailwind CSS and its components
β Experience building UIs for implementation using React and Redux for desktop, tablet and
mobile users
