Video Production Specialist

Position Title: Video Production Specialist
Department: Knowledge Management
Reports To: Knowledge Manager
Location: Remote

Position Overview:

Seeking a versatile Video Production Specialist to join our remote-first Knowledge Management team. This role will support creating and editing high-quality training videos and content for internal and external use. The ideal candidate will possess strong video production skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a remote team. This position is best suited for someone who enjoys structured tasks and consistency in their work routine.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Video Production and Editing:
   • Produce, edit, and finalize training videos using video production software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Camtasia).
   • Ensure all video content meets quality standards and organizational guidelines.
   • Develop scripts, storyboards, and production plans for video projects.
2. Training Support:
   • Lead training sessions utilizing the produced videos.
   • Collect and analyze feedback from training sessions to improve video content.
3. Content Development:
   • Allocate 50% of work time to Knowledge Writing, creating complementary written training materials and documentation (can be offset by other directly billable work).
   • Collaborate with the Knowledge Team to ensure video and written content are consistent and effective.
4. Process Improvement:
   • Work with consultants and team members to establish and optimize video production processes.
   • Stay updated on the latest video production tools, techniques, and best practices.
5. Project Management:
   • Manage multiple video projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to deadlines.
   • Maintain organized records of project progress and outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in video production and editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Camtasia).
• Basic knowledge of sound mixing and graphic design.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing workloads and project requirements.
• Comfort with remote work and proficiency in remote collaboration tools (e.g., Google Suite, Zoom, Slack, Asana).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience creating training videos or educational content.
• Familiarity with scripting and storyboarding for video production.
• Basic knowledge of Knowledge Management principles.
• Experience in a corporate or educational setting.
• Strong project management skills.

Educational Requirements:

• Associate degree in Communications, Media Production, Graphic Design, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in video editing demonstrated through a portfolio or sample projects.

• This fully remote position requires reliable internet access and a dedicated workspace.
