WebFOCUS Product Administrator
Location: Remote
Eastern, Central and Mountain time zones.
This is for a day position working 8:00 am ET to 5:00 pm ET.
US Citizenship is Required - Ability to pass enhanced background screen (criminal, financial, drug) for Public Trust clearance.
Pay rate: $70/hr.
Description:
This position requires knowledge of the WebFOCUS product, starting and stopping services, configuration changes, troubleshooting skills, being able to support day to day activities and being responsible for incident resolution and change implementation.
The successful candidate would expect to Support WebFOCUS environment running in a LINUX environment including patching, change management/closure, and the ability to plan and execute changes using the documented process. When issues occur, you can expect to be involved in troubleshooting performance, network connectivity, port availability, process detection, etc. during a live conference call with other team members.
What you will do:
- The qualified individual will serve as a WebFOCUS Product Administrator for a large IT infrastructure.
- This position is in 24 x 7x 365 environments, working days, some nights and weekends for production changes.
- Must have the flexibility to work in an on- call schedule.
- Implement, support, and maintain customers' WebFOCUS environment.
- Must be able to install, configure, troubleshoot issues, update trouble tickets, create change requests in support of the WebFOCUS product.
- Technical deep dives and Root Cause Analysis.
- System monitoring and health checks.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree.
- Must be knowledgeable with the WebFOCUS services software.
- Must have 8 years of WebFOCUS Product Administration.
- Must have experience with installing and configuring WebFOCUS on a Unix Operating System.
- Must have experience with the Unix Operating system.
- Must be able to provide installation, optimization, and troubleshooting support for the WebFOCUS Product.
- Working knowledge of production Web hosting environments is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must have experience working with technical teams, administration, configuration and integration with COTS products.
- The focus is on the Administration of the WebFOCUS Product.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree preferable.
- Certifications are a plus.
