Job Summary
The Accounting Manager's primary job function will be to assist the Controller with the management of all accounting, auditing, banking, and tax functions within the organization. This person will have a deep knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), specifically as it relates to SAAS based business model.
Essential Job Duties
- Assist in managing and/or performing month end closing functions in a current, complete, accurate, and GAAP compliant manner.
- Assist in the achievement of a successful outcome on company’s annual audit with minimal findings.
- Assist in liaising with external accounting firms on all third-party functions such as QoE, Audit, ASC-805, and Purchase Accounting.
- Assist in oversight of all cash, AR, AP, deferred revenue, and debit policies and procedures (Internal controls) activities in a current, complete, accurate, and compliant manner.
- Assist in keeping aged receivables over 90 days below 25% of total open AR and maintain collections processes to ensure bad debt stays within the budgeted amount.
- Assist in oversight of all tax functions and maintaining compliance with all federal, state, local, and sales tax rules and regulations.
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
- CPA preferred
- Minimum of 10 years experience in GAAP accounting or audit
