Job summary:
As a Basic Care Aide, you will work along side of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and be responsible for assisting residents with their daily activities and providing them with emotional and physical support. Your primary duties will include:
- Assisting residents with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitoring residents' health and reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
- Providing companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Assisting with mobility and transferring residents as needed.
- Helping with meal preparation and feeding residents if required.
- Keeping accurate records of residents' care and activities.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Proficiently be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must be able to work independently and be able to work effectively as a team member.
- Must be able to work with frequent interruptions, maintaining a high degree of concentration.
- Excellent Communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Possess problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of geriatric care and activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Familiarity with use of bathing products and equipment.
- Commitment to quality/infection control.
- Excellent time management of one’s own time and time of others.
- Ability to participate and self-educate for job related needs.
- Knowledge of charting, care plans, and shift schedule practices.
- Must possess ability to support, encourage and strive for excellent level of care, which accommodates each resident in the ability to be independent and promotes their overall well-being.
- Must have the ability to adapt to personalities of residents and/or coworkers and use tact in all forms of communication.
- Passion for customer service.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Graduate or GED. 16 years or older.
- Working towards MN Certificated Nursing Assistant (CNA). Must obtain within 4 months of hire date.
- Must pass MN background check and fingerprinting.
- Complete TB test within the first 3 weeks of employment.

Shift Schedules

- We offer shift differential pay for evenings, nights, weekends and holidays worked
- Every other weekend and holiday
Morning shift: 6:00 am-230 pm
Evening shift: 2:00 pm-10:00 pm
Night shift: 10:00 pm -6:30 am
