Description

The Metaplex Protocol is a decentralized platform that powers the digital asset economy on Solana and the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM). It offers tools and standards for developers, creators and businesses to build decentralized applications. Known for powering digital assets including NFTs, fungible tokens, RWAs, gaming assets, DePIN assets and more, Metaplex’s footprint across Solana is truly ubiquitous. Over 99% of NFTs, and 90% of fungible tokens on Solana use Metaplex standards, and over 700 million assets have been minted using the protocol.

The Metaplex Foundation is looking for a highly motivated Business Development (BD) Manager to drive execution and leadership across key workstreams, supporting partnerships, sales enablement, marketing, and governance efforts. As a BD Manager, you’ll play a critical role in supporting existing partnerships, attracting new users, and creating systems that enhance our go-to-market efforts. You’ll develop sales assets, oversee protocol metrics, manage pipelines, and contribute to governance initiatives, all while identifying growth opportunities across key market verticals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ecosystem Management: Serve as a key point of contact for ecosystem teams, supporting their success and growth using the Metaplex Protocol
  • Operational Impact: Build operational models to improve and scale partner management, BD efforts, and more
  • New Business Development: Develop acquisition strategies, manage pipelines, and identify new verticals for growth
  • Campaigns & Partnerships: Coordinate activations and support marketing campaigns for developers and support channel partnerships with tailored assets
  • Metrics & Growth: Monitor protocol performance, identify and pitch growth opportunities, and create assets showcasing success metrics
  • Sales Enablement: Create impactful sales collateral, conduct market research, and provide feedback to guide product priorities
  • Ecosystem Monitoring: Monitor ecosystem to identify growth opportunities and successful adoption of the Metaplex protocol


Requirements
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or partnership management in Web3 or related industries
  • Prior experience completing an investment banking, consulting, private equity, or similar training program is a plus
  • Deep passion for crypto, NFTs, and blockchain technology, preferably with an interest in Solana
  • Team player that’s comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment while wearing many different hats
  • Strong skills in data analysis, sales enablement, and pipeline management
  • Experience creating marketing and sales assets, including tailored pitch materials
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and technical teams
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills


Benefits

Location: Remote

Compensation and benefits: The base compensation range for this role is $125,000 - $150,000 per year. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in the Metaplex’s Foundation’s token incentive plan. Final offer amount will be at the Metaplex Foundation’s sole discretion and determined by multiple factors, including years and depth of experience and expertise, location and other business considerations.
