The Caretaker will be responsible for supporting patient with basic daily activities and must be able to assist an elderly gentleman with mobility issues.
Essential Job Functions
Work closely with the Principals in handling any requests or needs with the utmost professionalism.
Assist patient with basic daily life activities such as grooming, washing and maintaining personal hygiene standards.
Assist with walking, transfer and mobility issues that may arise.
Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable patient environment. Linen changes as needed.
Prepare and serve healthy nutritious meals, taking into account any special dietary restrictions and personal preferences.
Manage patient’s medication.
Provide patient with assistance in bathing.
Provide patient with assistance in dressing.
Maintain proper care records and report changes to principals or patient’s doctors.
Communicate closely with family on patients care.
Travel with patient to doctors’ appointments and/or other outdoor activities.
Collaborate with colleagues on household safety and emergency procedure plans.
Requirements
5+ years of experience working in similar capacity.
Ability to assist patient of up to 200lbs with mobility issues.
CPR Certified
Empathetic and caring.
Meticulous, personable and self-directed.
Have outstanding verifiable references.
Understand that the utmost in confidentiality and discretion is required.
Good command of the English language, both written and oral.
Well-groomed and physically able to perform all duties of the position.
