Harbor Freight Tools’ Cyber Security office is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Cyber Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our cyber security division, you will play a critical role in the seamless integration and onboarding of new cloud technologies, designing, implementing, maintaining, and monitoring security technology stack and tools, while ensuring the highest level of security and compliance. Your deep understanding of the cybersecurity landscape, coupled with your expertise in cloud technologies, will drive the development and implementation of robust security measures that safeguard our organization's digital assets.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to assess, select, and onboard new cloud technologies, ensuring their integration aligns with our security standards and policies.
  • Evaluate the security architecture of cloud platforms, identifying potential vulnerabilities and recommending appropriate controls and solutions.
  • Lead the design and implementation of security measures such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Enterprise-wide Vulnerability Management, Enhanced Encryption, Network Segmentation, and Logging.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and penetration testing on newly integrated cloud technologies, identifying potential security gaps, and proposing remediation strategies.
  • Stay current with industry best practices, emerging threats, and evolving cloud security trends, and apply this knowledge to enhance our cybersecurity posture.
  • Collaborate with team across business to implement security practices within the CI/CD pipeline, promoting a culture of "security by design."
  • Respond to and manage security incidents related to HFT’s on-premises and cloud environments as well as integrated cloud technologies and contributing to post-incident reviews.
  • Work closely with compliance teams to ensure the alignment of cloud security measures and general security practices with relevant industry regulations and standards.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the cybersecurity team, fostering their professional growth and knowledge.
  • Consistent Full Time Attendance is an essential requirement for this role.
