Our client, a prominent player in the field of data science and analytics, is seeking a Data Science Engineering Associate to join their team. As part of a dedicated group focused on leveraging advanced analytics and statistical methods, you will collaborate with a team of experts to drive operational efficiencies and identify new value sources.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build a robust data science infrastructure platform aimed at enhancing the adoption of data science across portfolio companies.
- Lead in the design and implementation of cloud architecture, data engineering infrastructure, and AI modeling best practices.
- Collaborate closely with both the Portfolio Operations Blackstone Data Science team and the Blackstone Technology Innovations group to scale core infrastructure.
- Develop data science applications utilizing cutting-edge cloud technologies and modeling techniques.
- Implement software engineering best practices to convert ad hoc analyses into production-quality code.
- Act as a technical lead on projects, effectively communicating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as computer science, data science, or engineering.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, data engineering, or development operations.
- Proficiency in programming languages including Python and SQL, with experience in strongly typed or functional languages being advantageous.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Containers, and Terraform.
- Foundation in statistics and mathematics.
- Strong analytical skills and a desire to tackle technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and project management abilities.
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a team, meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience in the financial services industry is not required.
Expected Annual Base Salary Range: $140,000 - $150,000
