To be successful in this role, you must be passionate about building an application that is extraordinary while working in an often ambiguous and ever-evolving business. In your role, you will help us uncover insights that drive strategic decisions, enhance our product offerings, and elevate customer experiences. This role will play a critical part in analyzing large datasets, building and deploying machine learning models, and translating complex findings into actionable business recommendations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams in Product, Engineering and IT, Service Delivery, and Customer Success.Β

RequirementsWhat You Will Be Doing
The Data Scientist will report directly to the VP of Product in the product team. The product team is responsible for product planning, execution, and enhancements by gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, operations, and sales teams to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. As the Domain Owner, your natural curiosity will drive you to uncover technical problems and will require the use of your abilities to find optimal solutions.Β
Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets from multiple sources to identify trends, correlations, and anomalies, leveraging statistical and machine-learning techniques.
- Build, test, and deploy machine learning models to enhance platform features such as predictive analytics, recommendations, and real-time insights.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of deployed models into production environments.
- Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of deployed models to ensure reliability and accuracy at scale.
What You Need for this Position
- Bachelorβs degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science, preferably in an Automotive on Prem or SaaS environment.
- Strong programming skills in Python or R.
- Familiarity with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Proficient in machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Demonstrated experience with model deployment and integration into production systems, with a focus on real-time predictions.
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- You are a highly effective communicator with the ability to liaise seamlessly across different teams.
- A passion for automating processes.
- Expert in data visualization.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the automotive warranty or fixed operations space (preferred).
- Experience with Confluence and Jira (preferred).
- Experience with AWS data and ML infrastructure, including but not limited to RDS, Redshift, and SageMaker.
- Graduate degree in Data Science.
