Your Opportunity




As the Director of Business Development, you’ll proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities with high-value clients prioritizing emissions reduction and sustainability. Your strategic planning, upselling, and cross-selling efforts will maximize revenue growth. Building authentic relationships with C-suite executives, you’ll educate potential customers on the benefits of aligning their strategic priorities with Kathairos’ custom leading-edge solutions. You’ll articulate our value proposition, emphasizing our simple, scalable approach to emissions reduction, monetization opportunities, compliance with evolving environmental regulations, and enhanced sustainability reporting. Leveraging your experience collaborating with cross-functional and technical teams, you’ll adapt sales strategies to design industry-leading solutions that exceed our clients’ expectations and satisfy their environmental and economic goals.




Location




This is a remote position open to all candidates in the US, however, to keep travel requirements limited, our preferred locations include Houston or Midland Texas.




Key Responsibilities




Strategic Engagement with Executives: Building relationships with senior executives, focusing on understanding their strategic priorities, challenges, and business objectives, especially regarding environmental compliance and sustainability goals.




Communicating Value: Articulating the value proposition of Kathairos Solutions in terms of emissions reductions, monetization opportunities, compliance with environmental regulations, and enhancement of sustainability reporting. Demonstrating how Kathairos Solutions aligns with and supports their corporate environmental objectives.




Bespoke Business Development Strategies: Developing customized strategies for each target account that resonate with their specific needs and corporate objectives. Proposing solutions that offer clear benefits in terms of environmental impact and business value.




Account Acquisition and Management: Pursuing new client acquisition at the corporate level and managing these relationships to ensure satisfaction and long-term engagement.




Solution Design and Presentation: Collaborating with technical teams to tailor solutions that meet the unique requirements of each corporate client, emphasizing environmental and economic benefits.




Revenue Maximization: Maximizing revenue from each account through strategic account planning, identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities in line with the client’s environmental and corporate goals.




Market Intelligence: Staying informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and evolving environmental regulations to continuously refine sales strategies.




Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):




New Account Acquisition: Success in securing new high-value client accounts, with a focus on those prioritizing emissions reduction and sustainability.




Revenue Targets: Revenue generated from corporate accounts, with an emphasis on value-added services linked to environmental goals.




Value Communication: Effectiveness in communicating the alignment of Kathairos Solutions with the client’s environmental and corporate objectives.




Executive Engagement: Depth and effectiveness of relationships with C-suite executives and key decision-makers, particularly in the context of environmental strategy alignment.






Required (Must have):





  • A bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Environmental Science, or a related field is required. A master's degree is preferred.

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in corporate sales, with a proven track record in the oil and gas industry. Strong network and established relationships with senior executives in the oil and gas industry.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.

  • Strong analytical skills to understand and align with corporate goals and challenges.

  • Ability to participate in limited travel to customer sites and occasional industry related Conferences or Trade Shows as needed.




Valued (Nice to have):





  • Experience in Climatech or related environmental technology sectors.

  • Knowledge of carbon economics and voluntary emissions markets.

  • Familiarity with government policies and regulations related to methane emissions.

  • Proven success in managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.

  • Leadership experience and ability to inspire and guide a sales team.
