About The Job:
We are looking for a talented and experienced Lead Product Designer to join our digital startup CareScout. As the Lead Product Designer, you will be responsible for designing and owning the design system. You are adept in building Figma components, templates, modules, and prototypes based on the digital brand guidelines which they will help design and manage. You will collaborate with our UX and Development teams to create an intuitive, cohesive, and visually appealing digital product to ensure consistency and accuracy of the design system across all platforms. Key to this role will also be the ability to deliver plug-and-play front end design code i.e. some micro interactions such as button styles, hovers and states along with how components of the design might respond to different screen resolutions and or how detailed features work via interaction and or simple animations.
This role will help all the design teams at CareScout create world class consumer facing digital products by enabling agile and responsive iteration both in market and in research activities through a kit of parts that in total are the CareScout experience digitally. The goal of the Design Systems Lead is to maintain a high level of quality control for all design works produced and to provide guidance and mentorship to other designers, copywriters and CareScout team members who are involved in the conceiving and development of future iterations of the CareScout platform.
We are looking for a Lead Product Designer who sweats the details as that is where magic can happen bringing intuitive, caring and even delightful interfaces to life for our users.
Necessary Qualifications :
β’ Strong experience in design systems, with a focus on digital products
β’ Deep understanding and passion of the key principles of great interaction design
β’ Visual design sensitivity and taste - typography, layout, color theory and micro animation
β’ Strong expertise in Figma, with the ability to build components, variants, templates, and modules from scratch that scale across the CareScout platform
β’ Experience working with digital brand guidelines.
β’ A grasp of written English and the ability to write microcopy for key interactions.
β’ Understanding of the opportunities and limitations of working on a responsive web-based platform vs/ and or native app-based design.
β’ Front-end coding experience, including HTML, CSS and a familiarity with React, to deliver visual designs straight into development teams
β’ Front-end development experience including JavaScript, SPAs (React/Next.js or Angular), HTML, and CSS, to deliver visual designs straight into development teams.
β’ A background working with software developers/engineers and Agile Web Development Teams
β’ Excellent communication and collaboration skills
β’ Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
β’ Experience leading a team of designers is a plus.

This position is available to remote applicants residing in the United States. The base salary pay range for this role starts at a minimum rate of $144,000. up to the maximum of $274,800. An employeeβs pay position within the base salary pay range will be based on several factors at the time of this job posting including but not limited to geographic location, experience, and qualifications. In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible to participate in an incentive plan. The incentive plan is based on performance and the target earning opportunity is 20% of your base compensation.
The final determination on base pay for this position will be based on multiple factors to ensure pay equity within the organization.
