About the Distribution Account Manager - AMDΒ 

MarketStar currently has an opportunity available for an AMD – Distribution Account Manager role.Β Β 

The AMD – Distribution Account Manager rep will provide on-site, dedicated support to distribution sales reps as they support and drive revenue within the direct marketing reseller DMR and VAR partner channels.β€― This role will help the AMD team achieve revenue and market share goals, develop AMD messaging to the rep level, and track and assist in closing opportunities.Β

What Will You Do?Β 

  • Provide answers to client and server-related pre-sales technical questions for Distribution, NSP(s), and/or VAR(s) account managers and customersΒ 

  • Regular onsite visits to assigned Distributor as designated by AMD to develop and grow relationshipsΒ 

  • Encourage partner-based sales reps to quote client and server products more frequentlyΒ 

  • Own and manage a pipeline of client and server opportunities within the Distribution accounts that identifies revenue and strategic markets and/or customersΒ 

  • Follow up on AMD client and server bid opportunities with Distribution, NSP, and/or VARsΒ 

  • Deliver AMD revenue targets on a quarterly and annual basis as mutually agreed uponΒ 

  • Leverage available partner resources to maximize close percentageΒ 

  • Promote the use of Distribution tools that may include but is not limited to online training, bid desk, trade-in programs, value-add promotions, and other sales incentive programsΒ 

  • Provide regular feedback to as issue(s) arise on the effectiveness of the toolsΒ 

  • Help team conduct client sponsored floor days, tabletops (if applicable and allowed by all necessary parties), and any other duties as assignedΒ 

  • Acquire and analyze monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting to recognize areas of strength and opportunities for growth and deliver a trend analysis on monthly basis.Β 

Β 

What will you need to succeed?Β 

  • Strong experience working in Distribution and/or VAR Channel salesΒ 

  • Solid understanding of Distribution and VAR Channel with the ability to learn quicklyΒ 

  • College degree in business or a related field preferred Β 

  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skillsΒ 

  • Proven experience conducting group presentations or training Β 

  • Time management and organization skillsΒ 

  • Ability to travel up to 25%Β

The pay range for this position is between $75,000.00 and $85,000.00 and may be paid annually. This pay structure may include a variable bonus component. There are several factors to consider including but not limited to, the role’s responsibilities, experience, location, education/training, internal equity, and key skills.
