Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understands human resources needs of assigned markets via regular communication with leaders and analysis of human resources data.
- Provides coaching and advice on issues involving employee relations, performance management and employment terminations. Prepares or edits employee performance or disciplinary documentation as needed or requested. The HR Resource offers employment decision recommendations, but does not have the authority to make employment decisions.
- Advises on the application of federal and state labor and employment laws and policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Trains HR/Payroll Representatives within assigned market(s) in human resources procedures and Workday business processes and reporting.
- Regularly visits facilities within assigned markets to assist and/or train facility personnel.
- Assists with onboarding of Market Leaders, Clinical Market Leaders, AITs, Executive Directors, and Directors of Nursing Services of assigned markets.
- Assists Market Leaders, Clinical Market Leaders, and Executive Directors with performance reviews of their direct reports.
- Assists with recruiting and interviewing for leadership and resource openings within assigned markets.
- Develops relationships and maintains regular dialogue with Market Leaders, Clinical Market Leaders, AITs, Executive Directors, and Directors of Nursing Services of assigned markets.
- Understands mandatory training requirements, identifies training/development needs of assigned companies and acts as liaison with Learning & Development to provide appropriate company-specific training.
- Assists assigned companies with implementation of Interactive program under the ADA.
- Analyzes human resources data such as employee satisfaction survey scores, employee satisfaction survey comments, new hire survey responses, exit interview information, hotline statistics, litigation and legal claim information, unemployment claims data and turnover statistics. Recommends and facilitates actions in response as necessary.
- Investigates or oversees investigations of HR-related complaints both in-person and via telephone and documents investigation and resolution in the hotline system or HR drive as appropriate.
- Reports any incidents of non-compliance or high-risk situations to the Director of HR, Vice President of HR or the Compliance Hotline.
- Facilitates all HR-processes associated with acquisitions in assigned markets.
- Creates or revises human resources policies, procedures and related documents/forms as needed and obtains final approval from Director of HR or Vice President of HR before implementing.
- Audits selected HR activities or HR policies/processes periodically to determine consistency of administration and assists Director of HR in developing improvements.
- Monitors implementation and administration of Affirmative Action Programs (“AAP”) within assigned companies.
- Contributes to Human Resources Department annual goals or Market annual goals as requested/directed.
- Attends meetings and trainings provided by Service Center personnel and Human Resources Department.
