THE OPPORTUNITY
The Human Resources Specialist is dedicated to fostering a positive, engaging work environment that attracts, engages, and retains talented team members. This role oversees the full lifecycle of recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training, learning, and development initiatives, ensuring a seamless transition for new hires and supporting continuous learning. The Human Resources Specialist provides comprehensive HR support, addressing team members' needs and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and HR best practices.
THE WORK ITSELF

Talent Management: Recruitment, Onboarding, and New Team Member Experience
- Coordinate recruitment process including requisitions, postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offers.
- Coordinate, develop, and improve pre-employment processes, New Hire Orientation, new hire onboarding plan with leader ensuring positive candidate to new team member experience.Β
- Help develop and implement pre-employment processes, including background checks and reference checks.
- Coordinate the planning and execution of New Hire Orientation and onboarding programs, ensuring a positive experience for new team members.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to create onboarding plans that facilitate new team member integration into their teams.
- Gather feedback from new team members regarding their onboarding experience and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop initiatives and resources that enhance the onboarding experience and support long-term team member engagement and satisfaction.
- Foster a welcoming environment that promotes inclusion and collaboration among new team members and existing teams.
- Manage the exit process, conducting exit interviews and using data to inform retention strategies. Ensure departing team members are recognized for their contributions.
Learning & DevelopmentΒ
- Assesses learning and development needs of team members through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers and team members.
- Organizes, creates, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, team building and skills training for team members.
- Develops and presents training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, on-line modules, and videos.
- Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
- Coordinates with outside resources to offer training.
Human Resources Support:
- Assist in HR tasks such as preparing reports and conducting audits.
- Assist with job description and position management.Β
- Responding to team member inquiries including within the Human Resources Inbox.
- Provide support in team member engagement initiatives and assist with HR projects as required.
- Collaborate with the HR team to ensure the effective delivery of HR services across the organization.
THE SKILLS YOU BRING
- Bachelorβs degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in recruitment, onboarding, or HR-related roles.
- Basic understanding of employment laws and regulations is a plus.
- Strong understanding of recruitment processes and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with candidates and team members.
- Proficiency in HRIS and basic recruitment-related software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with managers and colleagues.
