Saab, Inc. is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Project Manager to lead key elements of the Saab activity focused on establishing and maintaining a munitions production capability in Grayling, MI., reporting directly to production facilityβs Site Manager.Β The person in this role will establish a βboots on the groundβ presence in the community and coordinate a range of activities.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Serve as the lead local interface with township, city and state officials to ensure smooth execution of the facility build project and follow-on activities.
Conduct local outreach to establish Saab as a valued member of the community. This will include creation and management of a local advisory board, as well as engagement with local business, non-profit and educational leaders.
Support development and execution of comprehensive workforce development plan. This includes identifying hiring needs, developing training programs, and recruiting and placing management and touch labor employees to achieve project objectives.
Lead Saabβs partnership with Camp Grayling, to include the development of MOUs to support testing and other activities on the base. Expand Saab training and simulation support to Camp Grayling and its National Guard partners.
Deliver presentations to executive management and other project stakeholders.
Partner with Corporate Affairs in support of communications and government relations strategy.
Partner with the Site Lead, Operations, Legal/Contracts, and Business Systems organizations in support of site prep, construction, and company set up activities.
Manage the Grayling in-town office.
Adherence to all internal processes, policies, and applicable industry standards.
This position is located in Grayling, MI.
Compensation Range:Β $108,000-$137,700
The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.
Basic Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Bachelorβs degree or equivalent experience
12+ years of Defense experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or Project Management.
5+ years Project Management experience.
Ability to contribute to the development strategy and lead strategic initiatives in support of functional and business objectives.
Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
Current US Government security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Desired Qualifications:
Advanced degree in Business or a Technical field
Experience managing large projects ($10M-$50M+)
Program Management Professional (PMP) certifications
Experience leading cross-functional teams
Project management experience guiding development, transition to production, production and/or sustainment programs
Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR).
Expert level expertise with Microsoft Office Suite resources
