Brief Summary of Position:

As a Regional Sales Director based in the Western region of the US, your primary responsibility will be to develop sales strategies through 3rd party manufacturer’s representative partners to achieve assigned sales targets and expand Maury’s test and measurement business into new accounts and markets in the region.  You will work closely with Product and Marketing teams in the assessment of new market opportunities, the definition of new products, and most of all the promotion of existing products within your region.  Overall business growth and accurate forecasting are key elements of the position.


Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Provide excellent customer experience and manage the overall customer relationship while growing executive level relationships within key accounts and markets.
  • Drive sales in assigned region through 3rd party manufacturer’s representative channel.
  • Continually train, develop and evaluate representative partners and update geographic coverage based on “Key Performance Indicators”.
  • In collaboration with product lines and sales management, establish, execute and update business plans. 
  • Present technical solutions and communicate economic and technology-based value propositions to all levels within an account.
  • Provide liaison to Maury product managers in key accounts and markets for future solution needs.
  • Disciplined follow-up on leads and customer support requests, ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Perform timely funnel management and monthly sales forecast by product and customer.
  • Travel 30-50% in support of business objectives.

Requirements (education, prior work experience, special skills, etc.)

  • US Citizenship Preferred due to onsite customer visits requiring US Citizenship.
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field (BSEE, MSEE or MBA preferred). 
  • 5+ years of relevant customer-facing sales/leadership experience with demonstrated track record of successfully meeting metrics.
  • Previous experience and understanding of RF and microwave principals in order to support all Maury Microwave products, including characterization, signal generation, power measurements and noise measurement/generation.
  • Knowledge of Aerospace and Defense, Federal Government and/or Educational Grant R&D buying process and application of RF and microwave test and measurement solutions.
  • Proven track record of technical proficiency combined with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.  
  • Intermediate user level with Microsoft Office, Teams, Basecamp and Salesforce CRM software tools.
