Collaboration Opportunities:

The Senior Analyst, Client Analytics role will be serving key internal (Evolent Account Services & Specialty Ops) and external partners. This will include conveying actionable insights that drive Evolent’s value story and adapting to the organization’s evolving analytical needs.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Coordinating with key external/internal stakeholders to understand their data and business needsΒ for ad hoc & regulatory reporting requirements with SAS and SQL
  • Proactively interpreting business needs based upon given reporting requirements and actively seeking out clarity from the partner or internal stakeholders on those requirements as needed
  • Identifying population health and cost savings opportunities for clients via data-driven insights utilizing SAS, SQL, Python and a Business Intelligence tool (e.g. PowerBI)
  • Developing scalable solutions in Evolent’s key analytical offerings to legacy and prospective Evolent partners Β Β 
  • Delivering findings in polished, client facing decks or curated insights-driven packets in narrative form
  • Partnering with various internal stateside/global teams to deliver high quality analyses to clients
  • Proactively interpreting business needs based upon given reporting requirements and actively seeking out clarity from the partner or internal stakeholders on those requirements as needed

Qualifications - Required and Preferred:

  • 2+ years in an analytics & reporting role for developing analytical reports with complex regulatory/clinical requirements for healthcare lines of business – Required
  • 2+ years of SAS, SQL Programming Experience with large amounts of healthcare claims and authorization data - Required
  • 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel and PowerBI or a comparable BI tool to manipulate data and summarize reports – Required
  • 2+ years experience in an analytical capacity with client-facing responsibilities – Required
  • 2+ years experience in developing and summarizing membership trends, medical economic KPIs (e.g. PMPM), and drilling into cost/utilization patterns to identify cost/use drivers – Required
  • Working knowledge of health plan billing and reimbursement structures associated with Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid lines of business. Healthcare claims: specifically, differences between institutional vs professional billing and various sites of care/service - Required
  • Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement methodologies and calculations such as DRGs, Revenue Codes, CPT Codes, RVUs, bundled payments, including value-based care and utilization management- Required.
  • Experience in developing regulatory reporting requirements (i.e. NCQA, HEDIS, HSAG, Milliman) – Required.
  • Strong communication, presentation, data visualization, and PowerPoint skills – Required
  • Ability to convey the usefulness of reports and analysis to internal and external stakeholders who are unfamiliar with data and analytics. Including understanding data systems and the critical thinking skills to solve new problems while adapting to changes in the data architecture. - Required
  • Coordinating with both onshore and global teammates on projects - Preferred
  • Master's Degree, especially with a quantitative focus (e.g. data science, machine learning, statistics, mathematics, computer science, epidemiology or engineering) - Preferred

Technical Requirements:

We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.Β

The expected base salary/wage range for this position is $75.000 up to $85,000. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors. As part of our total compensation package, Evolent is proud to offer comprehensive benefits (including health insurance benefits) to qualifying employees. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
